Originally from Rajasthan, Shama Sikander belongs to a Muslim family. Her father is Sikander Ali Gesawat while her mother’s name is Gulshan.

Her family relocated to Mumbai, the city of dreams when she was just 9 years old. She is one out of 5 siblings. Her siblings are Salma, Khalid, Rizwan Sikander.

During one of her interviews- she stated her early childhood was extremely difficult, sometimes we had to sleep on an empty stomach as we couldn’t afford food for the whole family
