Chennaiyin FC co-owner Vita Dani expressed her pride in Bijay’s move, highlighting Uruguay’s rich football history and the significance of his signing with Colon FC.
Colon Futbol Club director Marcelo Rifas expressed confidence in Chhetri’s abilities and is looking forward to integrating him into the team. The move is seen as a step towards sourcing players from new markets. Chhetri’s move to Uruguay marks a significant milestone for Indian football and opens up new opportunities for players from the country to explore international leagues.
