Chhath Puja celebrations are in full swing in Noida and Greater Noida

Delhi NCR, Noida and Greater Noida are all gearing up for Chhath Puja. The celebration is in full swing after a 2-year long gap due to Covid. Artificial ponds have been prepared in order to facilitate the rituals of the festival. Plus, the ghats have been cleaned too. 

The Chhath Puja 4-day celebration has been started yesterday i.e 28th October with the first day as Nahai-Khai. For the second day i.e today Kharna. And for the third day, Sandhya Argh is done followed by the last day of Paran or Usha Argh.

Chhath Puja in Noida

The President of Shree Suryadev Puja Committee (SSPC), Noida Munna Kumar Sharma, stated on the preparation of Chhath Puja that-  “Preparations for Chhath, the great festival of sun worship, are going on in full swing in many sectors of Noida. A Chhath Ghat has been constructed in Central Park, located between Golf City, Plot-8 and Panchsheel Pratishtha Society,  Sector-75. The ghat is 50 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 4 feet deep. Arrangements are being made for clean water, light and more at the ghat.”

He also added that on October 30th, a cultural event will also be taking place in 71’s Central Park, SSPC will be hosting it. “Famous singers such as Kshama Pandey, Preeti Prakash, Devesh Kundan, and Pooja Mandal, among others, will perform Bhojpuri, Hindi, Magahi, Maithili, Angika, and Punjabi songs.”

A Chhath Ghat has been prepared near the societies of Greater Noida West, Cherry County society named it Ek Murti Chhath Ghat. Rahul Garg, NEFOWA Vice President says, “NEFOWA, in association with the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, has prepared the ghat at Ek Murti. The place will host thousands of devotees. On October 29, Golu Raja, a Bhojpuri singer will be performing and Kavya Krishna Murti will perform Bhojpuri Bhajan on October 30.”
