China COVID-19 Scenario: 37 Million Covid Cases In One Day Smash Previous Record

This week, the tech Giant China, being the leading country in terms of population has reported fresh 37 Million cases of Novel Coronavirus. However, the current spike is the till-day largest single-day surge of Covid Cases. The report was made public by Bloomberg, which mentions the information from the Chinese Government’s authority at the top.

In the initial 20 days of December, 248 Million individuals from China were estimated to be infected. According to the report presented by Bloomberg, the information has been leaked from the National Health Commission’s internal meeting that was held on Wednesday. This validates that the information presented by Bloomberg is true.

Highest Record Set By China So Far

On the 20th of December, on a single day, according to the Bloomberg report, 37 Million cases were registered. The figures reported didn’t match the country’s official tally. According to the data revealed by the country, only 3,049 inflections were recorded on the same day.

It should be taken into consideration that, if the data about 37 Million Covid -19 cases is accurate, then it would surpass the 4 million record set by China in January 2022 making it the highest ever cases reported to date.

Weeks after changing its mind about its zero-Covid policy, China has been dealing with an increase in infections. As the healthcare system was under tremendous strain as a result of the Covid surge, several clips have been published on social media sites depicting overcrowded hospitals.

According to epidemiologists’ predictions, millions of individuals would likely contract the virus in the upcoming months and millions of them may pass away from it. 3 years, after the virus outbreak was originally revealed, China is once more in the grip of the grave warning.
