According to Click 2 Houston, Houston police had been searching for a 27-year-old woman who went missing on March 6, 2024.

Last Friday, Houston police also found a dog in the Cedar Creek Drive neighborhood in the Alief area. The dog was initially believed to be Max, who went missing with Christiana Johnson, his owner.

However, Christina Johnson’s father said that his daughter would never leave Max, her dog, like that, reported KHOU.

However, police later clarified that the 27-year-old’s dog, Max, was with her the entire time when she was missing. The dog looking like Max was found 7.7 miles away from the area where Max and Christina were last seen.

Now, the newly found dog has found a new home with Emmanuel, Christina Johnson’s father. Emmanuel renamed the dog as Jack and accepted him as a part of his family.

What Happened?

On March 6, the 27-year-old Christina Johnson took her pet, Max, for a routine morning walk. However, she didn’t return home.

Emmanuel was desperate to search for his daughter. He stated, “I don’t understand where she is.” He told police that Christina and her dog go for a daily routine either to the Hackberry Community Center or the Box off Dairy Ashford to work with her computer.

Emmanuel said, “She usually comes home before the evening but doesn’t come back that evening.

He added, “She always has Max with her. The fact we find Max but not her is very alarming.”

When Max’s lookalike was found, Emmanuel said, “He’s rough right now. And he’s been out six or seven days on his own, and he’s a house dog,. He has never been on his own like that. Something ain’t right. Obviously, she’s in danger.”
