Churu MP Rahul Kaswan disappointed over denial of LS ticket

Jaipur, March 4 (IANS) The sitting BJP MP from Churu, Rahul Kaswan, voiced his discontent after being snubbed for a ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan. The BJP replaced him with Paralympian Devendra Jhajharia in its first list of 195 candidates announced on Saturday.

In a post on social media, Kaswan questioned, “What was my fault? Was I not honest? Was I not hard-working? Was I not loyal? Was I tainted? Had I left any stone unturned in getting the work done in Churu?” He expressed his disappointment at not receiving a ticket despite his efforts in implementing government schemes.

Showing signs of disappointment immediately after being denied a ticket, Kaswan assured the people of Churu on Sunday, stating, “With your trust and support, we will overcome every crisis, move forward on the path of development, and climb the heights of progress.”

Being a two-time MP from Churu, Kaswan comes from a renowned political family. His father, Ram Singh Kaswan, a four-time BJP MP and once an MLA, defeated Congress leader Balram Jakhar in the past. Additionally, Kamla Kaswan, his wife, has also been a BJP MLA from Sadulpur.

Despite his family’s political background and his own accomplishments, Kaswan’s exclusion from the BJP candidate list for the upcoming elections has left him questioning the decision-making process within the party, highlighting the internal dynamics at play.
