Citroen Basalt Vision Coupe SUV Teased, Set to Debut in India on March 27

Citroen has announced the upcoming debut of the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV, scheduled for March 27, 2024. The compact coupe SUV is designed for the Indian and South American markets and is based on the C-Cubed platform, shared with models like the C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross.

The teaser of the Citroen Basalt Vision reveals a sleek design with a receding roofline and distinctive LED taillights. It is expected to set a trend in the mass market space with its coupe SUV style, competing with models like the Tata Curvv ICE. The SUV is anticipated to offer a stylish and modern look.

The Citroen Basalt Vision is expected to be similar in size to the C3 Aircross but will be a strict five-seater, unlike the seven-seater variant of the C3 Aircross. The model is likely to feature a more premium front and rear design compared to existing C-Cube models, including Citroen’s signature grille and DRLs, as well as a split headlamp setup.

The interior of the Basalt Vision is expected to borrow elements from the C3 Aircross but with enhancements in features. Anticipated equipment levels include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument console, connected features, climate control, keyless entry, and more. The SUV may be offered exclusively with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine for exclusivity.

Citroen will provide more details about the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV in the coming days. The company is also reportedly working on the C3X cross-sedan for the Indian market. Stay tuned for updates on Citroen’s future plans for India.
