Citroen C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross Now Come Standard with 6 Airbags

Stellantis to Include Six Airbags as Standard in Citroen Cars

Stellantis has revealed that they will be equipping all Citroen cars with six airbags and additional safety features as standard in India. These safety enhancements are expected to be implemented in the second half of 2024, potentially leading to a slight increase in vehicle prices. This decision follows Global NCAP’s recent crash test of the Citroen eC3, which resulted in a zero-star safety rating.

In addition to the six airbags, Citroen will also incorporate ISOFIX child seat mounts and rear seatbelt reminders into all their models. Presently, Citroen offers four vehicles in their lineup – C3, eC3, C3 Aircross, and C5 Aircross.

The move towards enhanced safety features in Citroen cars underscores a growing focus on occupant protection and reflects the company’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of their customers. With safety becoming an increasingly important consideration for car buyers, Stellantis’ proactive approach is likely to resonate positively with potential customers.
