Clackamas Town Center Shooting: No Casualties Reported 

The Clackamas Town Center Shooting has invaded the media headlines as it occurred on Sunday. This shooting incident took place at the Clackamas Town Center, reported TimesNow.

In a statement issued by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, it was stated that the officers responded to the shooting incident on Sunday around 6:00 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office stated,

“At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any ongoing danger to the public. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating any possible victims. If you have any tips or information, please contact the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line by phone at 503-723-4949.”

Real Story of Clackamas Town Center Shooting

Amid the reports of shootings, certain witnesses reported police activity at Clackamas Town Center near the Cheesecake Factory restaurant. 

At the time of the investigation, several witnesses were questioned questioning who were at the mall. As per KOIN, investigators are working towards garnering video of the incident from the cameras installed nearby. 

According to a person’s post on Facebook, police didn’t let the local people leave. The person wrote, “Stuck at the Cheesecake Factory in the Clackamas Town Center. There was a shooting and they won’t let us leave.”

Another user posted, “Shooting at Clackamas mall by the Cheesecake Factory. Check on your folks.”

In the Clackamas Town Center, a gunfire exchange erupted which left a pair of shoes along with the bullet casings strewn in the parking lot. Until now, no cases of injuries have been reported. 

Sgt. Nate Thompson told KOIN 6 News that multiple things were hit by the bullet, but no one got any injuries. Outside the Cheesecake Factory in the parking lot, scattered evidence of “markers noting bullet casings” could be found.

Thompson stated,

“We’ve located several bullet casings. There was a pair of shoes left behind. There are many things that were hit. So we’re still working through what was all hit and what was all damaged.”
