6 Days Lockdown in New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced a lockdown for 6 days. The lockdown will be in force from 10 am to 6 pm on 26 April. The CM said that his government has taken this decision when there was no other solution left.

“It was not easy for us to take this decision, because I can understand how during the lockdown the employment and earnings of the people are lost.” – Arvind Kejriwal

During this time, necessary services, food service, medical service will be allowed. The CM announced that only 50 people would be allowed to attend weddings.

“Will make arrangements in next 6 days”

CM Kejriwal has said that the government will increase the arrangements in Delhi in the next 6 days. He said, “In the next 6 days we will increase the facilities with regard to beds in Delhi. The lockdown period will be used for arranging oxygen, medicine. I request everyone to follow the guidelines.

Appeal to migrant laborers

Arvind Kejriwal also appealed to the migrant laborers not to leave Delhi. He said that this is a small lockdown and during this time the government will take full care of the workers.

Amid the restrictions being imposed due to increasing cases of Coronavirus in different states, there are reports of migrant laborers leaving the city.
