Congress leader accuses AAP leaders in Punjab of exposing party’s misdeeds

After AAP legislator Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh accused his own party of failing to fulfill promises on drugs and sacrilege, Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa stated that party leaders are exposing misdeeds. Showing dissatisfaction towards AAP, Bajwa mentioned that their promises have turned out to be hollow, including ending drug abuse and ensuring justice on sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.

Referring to media reports, Bajwa highlighted how Singh, in the presence of AAP Cabinet minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, criticized key party figures like Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha, and Bhagwant Mann for their inaction on crucial issues in Punjab. The AAP’s failure to address these issues has resulted in criticism and dissatisfaction among the people of Punjab, especially the Sikh community.

Despite being sidelined by AAP, Vijay Pratap has been vocal about these issues in various platforms. Bajwa emphasized that AAP exploited the emotions of Punjabis, particularly Sikhs, for votes during the 2022 assembly elections. With Punjab set for polls on June 1 for 13 Lok Sabha seats, Bajwa believes that the people have seen through the non-performance of the current government and are likely to vote against AAP in the upcoming elections.
