Congress targets winning 10 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, March 31 (IANS) The Gujarat Congress aims to win more than 10 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. The party held a meeting in Ahmedabad with its candidates, attended by state party In-charge Mukul Wasnik and senior leader Shaktisinh Gohil to strategize the poll campaign.

Mukul Wasnik expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, stating that the Congress is “poised to secure more than 10 seats in Gujarat,” indicating a positive voter sentiment towards the party. Gujarat has a total of 26 Lok Sabha seats, making each seat crucial in the upcoming elections.

During the meeting, the party distributed a detailed 14-point checklist to the candidates, intended to guide them through the campaign and enhance the party’s electoral chances. The checklist serves as a strategic blueprint to streamline efforts and focus on key aspects of the election process.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the allocation of two lawyers to each Lok Sabha candidate for legal advice and support during the campaign. These legal experts played a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations and proper submission of forms, contributing to a smooth election process for the party.

Discussions at the meeting revolved around understanding the organizational expectations and analyzing the current political landscape at the local level. This provided candidates with insights into their respective Lok Sabha constituencies, helping them tailor their campaign strategies effectively.
