At the same time the death rate from corona is 1.40%. According to the statistics of the Ministry, a total of 1 lakh 58 thousand 189 people have died due to infection so far in the country. Of which 52610 were from Maharashtra, 12530 from Tamil Nadu, 12379 from Karnataka, 10931 from Delhi, 10,283 from West Bengal, 8740 from Uttar Pradesh and 7177 from Andhra Pradesh.

Situation worrisome in Maharashtra

Expressing concern over the rise in under-treatment cases of corona in some states including Maharashtra, NITI Aayog member VK Paul has termed the condition of corona virus particularly worrisome in Maharashtra. Paul said that we are very concerned about the increase in cases in Maharashtra. Do not take this virus lightly. It may come on unexpectedly.

He advised that in such districts where corona cases are increasing, the work of vaccination of eligible people should be expedited.
