Couple brutally murdered with an axe after Holi argument, police arrest two suspects

In a tragic incident in a village in Hathras district, a man and his wife were axed to death following a minor dispute during Holi earlier in the day. Bobby and his wife Sunita were attacked while sleeping in their farm shed by Nannu and his sons, resulting in their untimely deaths.

The police have arrested Nannu and his son Ramu, while the other son Rajkumar is currently absconding. The murders were reportedly a result of a trivial dispute between Nanu and Bobby during the Holi celebrations, escalating into a violent confrontation that led to the fatal outcome.

The dispute began when Nannu demanded tobacco from Bobby, who owned a gutkha-tobacco shop in the house. The refusal led to a clash, with Nannu sustaining minor injuries. Later that night, Nannu and his sons launched a brutal attack on the couple, resulting in their tragic deaths.

Hathras Superintendent of Police Nipun Aggarwal and Assistant Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar have taken charge of the investigation. Nannu and Ramu are in custody, and efforts are underway to apprehend the third accused. The bodies have been sent for post mortem as authorities work to bring justice to the grieving family.
