Creators find PM Modi’s advice on gaming industry progress in India inspiring

New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice to the gaming industry in India was described as inspiring by social media creators who met him on Friday. Animesh Agarwal highlighted PM Modi’s interest in their backgrounds and his guidance on the industry’s future development.

During the meeting, creators like Mithilesh Patankar, Payal Dhare, and Naman Mathur discussed the growth of the e-gaming sector and the aspirations of the youth. Mathur emphasized the significant progress of the esports industry in India over the past five years.

With the online gaming segment projected to reach Rs 231 billion by 2025, the industry is considered the fourth-largest in the Indian Media & Entertainment sector, according to Invest India data. Dhare, the only female gamer present, expressed her excitement at representing the female gaming community before PM Modi.

The interaction with PM Modi will be showcased in a full episode scheduled to be released on April 13 on the Prime Minister’s official social media platforms and video-sharing platforms. The discussions held during the meeting are expected to shed light on the future prospects of the gaming industry in India.
