Australian pace sensation Pat Cummins, the new skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, is eyeing a strong start to the IPL 2024 campaign for his team. After a disappointing season last year, Cummins is determined to lead SRH to success with a proactive approach.

Having had a stellar 2023, Cummins proved his leadership abilities by achieving significant victories in Test and ODI cricket. With his recent success and a record breaking IPL auction deal, Cummins is ready to take on the challenge of captaining a T20 team for the first time in his career.

Under the guidance of coach Daniel Vettori, who is familiar with Cummins from their time with the Australian team, SRH is gearing up for the season ahead. Cummins emphasized the importance of a strong start in T20 cricket and expressed his eagerness to see an aggressive approach from his team.

SRH will kick off their IPL 2024 journey against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 23, followed by their first home game against Mumbai Indians on March 27. Cummins highlighted the team’s blend of experience and young talent, expressing excitement about players like Abhishek Sharma and Umran Malik.
