State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest government bank and many other banks have also allowed their customers to withdraw and deposit cash at home. That is, you will no longer need to go to the bank to withdraw or deposit cash from your bank account.

In this way, customers can avail of Doorstep Banking Services (DBS) offered by Public Sector Banks (PSBs) to handle the work of banks at home.
Under DBS, customers can avail these facilities at home. Now you can take advantage of many other facilities along with withdrawal and deposit of money sitting at home through DBS. If you need a new checkbook, you will get a checkbook sitting at home. Also, you will now be able to pay IT returns/government tax/GST/challan etc. through this facility sitting in your house. You will also be able to submit Digital Jeevan Certificate (through Jeevan Pramaan App).

You will get a term deposit receipt from the account statement request
Doorstep Banking Service has given its account holders the facility to withdraw and deposit cash at home. Along with this, now you will get your check, demand draft, pay order, account statement request, term deposit receipt service, sitting at home. The bank has informed its account holders through a tweet.
Know how much money can be withdrawn and deposited through this facility
A minimum of Rs 1,000 has been fixed for cash withdrawal and deposit through this facility, while currently the maximum limit is Rs 10,000. These financial services can be availed through AePS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System) or Debit Card. To avail DBS, the customer has to register himself or herself through the mobile or laptop / desktop computer in the Doorstep Banking app. Registration is done through mobile OTP.

Learn how to take advantage of this facility?
To avail of this facility, first of all, you have to log into the Doorstep Banking app and then select your bank.
After selection of bank enter your account number / PIN and submit.
After verification, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Click on the ‘Submit’ button after registering the -OTP. – After the OTP is verified properly, the app starts showing you, your bank name, account number, account type, and branch name.
After this, select the option of the service on the app that you want to take advantage of, how many types of service you need. For example, to withdraw and statement, then you have to tell us to take advantage of two features. Also, you have to provide your current pick-up address.
Branches within a 10 km radius of the pickup address are displayed on the screen. You have to select any branch of your choice. Along with this, the preferred time slot has to be selected for pickup/delivery. After this, to avail of this service on the screen, you will see the service fee as soon as you verify the information about the service request by ‘OK’. An SMS will come to your mobile which will contain information about the number, name, etc. of the person coming to your home.
