Day 2 of U20 Men’s Football Nationals sees Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka secure full points

Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka emerged victorious in their matches at the Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2024 in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh. In the first match, Uttar Pradesh beat Ladakh 3-2, while Karnataka defeated Jharkhand 3-1.

Uttar Pradesh took the lead early on through Suhel Khan, but Ladakh equalized with a goal from Stanzin Tsering. Khan scored again to regain the lead, and Uttar Pradesh sealed the win with a third goal from Amit Yadav. Ladakh managed to score a second goal, but it wasn’t enough.

In the second match, Jharkhand went ahead with a goal from Mohammed Faisal Hussain, but Karnataka leveled the score through Ishan Raghunanda. Karnataka then took the lead with goals from Premish T. and Shyam Sundar in the first and second halves respectively.

Both teams showcased their skills and determination, setting the stage for an exciting tournament ahead. The competition continues with more matches in the coming days, with teams vying for the championship title.–IANS
