So, a rumour has surfaced on the internet, which is not something too pleasant to talk about. A popular TikToker, Alex Dougherty from the Dougherty Dozen, was said to have passed away, and the news flooded social media.

However, this claim, which was put out on media, turned out to be false and something that was made out of thin air because the family did not confirm his death.

Some fans kept forwarding their apologies and condolences because of the supposed death in the family.

While some tried to fact-check the whole thing and pulled out recent videos to show that Alex is alive and doing well. This is not the first time people under the spotlight of media are facing such incidents.

Reacting to the rumours, one user said, “I was getting those RIP videos on my FYP 😂 he was in the video she posted 3 hours ago tho.”

And on July 18, Alex Dougherty himself dismissed the speculations by reacting to a “Fly high Alex” comment.

The caption read, “GUESS WHOS D3AD…… I’m joking I’m not dead. Rumors are lies just remember that.”

The family blew up on the net when Alicia, the mother of the family, posted a video of her getting ready and her daily routine, which got 13.5 million views. Since that video, the family has continued to post their content on social media to gain more and more followers.
