Delhi experiences minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius
New Delhi, Feb 29 (IANS) The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 25 degrees with a mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy in the evening. The overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi fell under the ‘moderate’ levels on Thursday.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), in the Anand Vihar area, PM 2.5 levels were recorded at 210, categorizing it as ‘poor’, while PM 10 stood at 174, categorized as ‘moderate’. The AQI scale ranges from zero to 500, with zero to 50 considered ‘good’ and 401 to 500 considered ‘severe’. Indira Gandhi International Airport and Dwarka Sector 8 also reported PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels.
The main focus continues to be on the air quality in Delhi, with varying levels observed across different areas. The city is experiencing moderate air quality levels, and measures to address pollution and improve the situation are ongoing. The IMD’s predictions for the upcoming days will be crucial in understanding weather patterns and potential impacts on air quality.
