In a significant development, two All-Women Police Posts have been established in Delhi’s Shradhanand Marg and Khan Market, equipped with essential resources and managed by well-trained women police personnel. On Sunday, the inauguration ceremony was presided over by Lt Governor V.K. Saxena and Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.
Sub-Inspector Puja Saini has been appointed as the in-charge of Khan Market Police Post, along with nine subordinate women police officers. Khan Market, known for its cosmopolitan environment and international allure, attracts a diverse range of people, including foreign visitors. The establishment of the All-Women Police Posts affirms a commitment to gender equality and empowerment within law enforcement, showcasing their effectiveness in a variety of responsibilities, from crime prevention to community engagement.
Furthermore, the Shradhanand Marg Police Post has also been inaugurated with the aim of facilitating women complainants, ensuring women police presence, and addressing the persistent concerns of women. S-I Kiran Sethi has been assigned as the in-charge of Shradhanand Marg Police Post, supported by women staff.
During the ceremony, the Lt Governor interacted with the residents and encouraged the women personnel posted there to work diligently in the service of the people.
