Dhirendra Shastri’s Apology After Offending Muslims, Complaint Filed

Famous guru Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham found himself in the midst of religious turmoil after making an offensive comment regarding the Muslim community. Because of this, Maulanas from Lucknow filed a police complaint in Chowk Kotwali on Friday.

According to news reports, the Maulanas contacted the police authority on behalf of Maulana Saif Abbas Naqvi, President of the Shia Chand Committee, who demanded that an FIR be registered. However, the case has not yet been registered, but the investigation is ongoing.

As the comment began to fuel the religious sentiments of Muslims, #arrestdhirendrashastri startedalso trending on Twitter, with netizens demanding strict action against Shastri.

Dhirendra Shastri issued a video apologizing for his actions and clarifying that he respects every religion.

He stated that his intention was never to hurt anyone. But some likened his comments to Maula Ali to spread religious propaganda. He stated, “If anyone is hurt by my words, I apologize.”

According to the police, the case is under investigation, but an FIR has not yet been registered. DCP Durgesh Kumar further added that the complaint was filed on behalf of Muslim Maulanas.

This is not the first time Dhirendra Shastri has become a topic of discussion. In the past, even the Hindu community has filed a police complaint against him, calling him a hypocrite. At one time, he referred to unmarried ladies as “empty plots”, stating that every married girl must wear sindoor and a mangal sutra; if they are not doing so, then they are seen as “empty plots”.

Baba Bageshwar’s Katha program was set to be organized in Ghaziabad and Lucknow but has now been canceled. As a result, he will conduct his regular Divya Darbar at his own Dham.

It should be noted that devotees’ applications will be accepted from April 11 to 15. The Darbar will be conducted on April 11 at his Dham. The three-day event will start on April 22 and will end on April 24 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
