Recently, many reports were claiming that the hit recording artist, Jimmy Swaggart died due to blood cancer. Although no confirmation was made by his family and close friends. To clarify he is very much alive and living his best life. Additionally, news claimed that Jimmy Swaggart passed away in 2023, June. But he made social media posts in June he posted regarding a blood donation in July. He has been quite active on every social media platform. Hence it is confirmed that Jimmy Swaggart is not officially dead.

He started his career in 1971 through TV ministry in a show called Camp Meeting Hour. The show has viewership from around the world, not just from America. His show is named- The Weekly Jimmy Swaggart Telecast and A Study in the Word used to broadcast in 78 countries including America as well as the internet.

His success reached its height in the 1980s when his telecast crossed 3,000 cable systems and radio stations each week. Because of his profession, he has travelled globally including Europe, Africa, the U.S.A, South America and Canada. In the same year, he got a Grammy Award nomination for Best Performance for Traditional Gospel. As of now, he owns SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) and works as a senior pastor in the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
