Diljit Dosanjh Opens Up About Avoiding Carbs, Admits to Cheating on Meals and Feeling Regret

New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh recently opened up about his regrets when cheating on a meal. The Punjabi star shared his thoughts on his eating habits and upcoming project in an interview with IANS.

Diljit mentioned that he enjoys using cutlery for meals, but if it’s not available, he wouldn’t hesitate to dig in with his hands. He keeps his meals simple, avoiding carbs and rice, except for the occasional craving which leads to regrets later.

The ‘Lover’ hitmaker also discussed his upcoming project, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film is a biographical drama based on the controversial Punjabi singer known for his provocative lyrics. Chamkila was tragically assassinated in 1988 along with his wife, Amarjot Kaur.

Starring alongside Parineeti Chopra, Diljit is set to portray the iconic singer in the Netflix release on April 12. The film aims to shed light on Chamkila’s life and his impact on Punjabi music, despite the controversies surrounding his work.
