Diljit relaxes with locals from Kinnaur, learns pahadi jhumar dance moves

Mumbai, March 9 (IANS) Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently visited Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, where he danced with the locals on a folk song. The ‘Patiala Peg’ fame singer shared pictures and videos on Instagram, showcasing his experience and interaction with the people.

In the photos shared, Diljit is seen wearing a black sweater and matching joggers, along with an orange pagri and black boots. He is shown joining hands in front of the locals in gratitude. A video also captures him dancing with the locals on a mountainous road, wishing everyone a ‘happy Mahashivratri’.

“I did a different dance form today.. pahadi jhumar. I don’t know the lyrics.. but I did the dance,” Diljit mentioned in the post, captioned “LOVE” with a red heart emoji. Fans flooded the comments section with messages expressing their admiration for the singer’s experience and the cultural exchange.

Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh is set to portray the titular character in the biopic ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film narrates the true story of Punjab’s rockstar Amar Singh Chamkila, known as the ‘Elvis Presley of Punjab’. The movie, also starring Parineeti Chopra, is scheduled for release on Netflix on April 12.

In addition, Diljit will be seen in the heist comedy film ‘Crew’, playing the role of Jai Singh Rathore alongside Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon.
