“Dior Bags” Code Takes TikTok by Storm as Bethenny Frankel Sparks Controversial Conversations on Drone Sightings

The TikTok platform is the birthplace of a slew of secretive slang that can only be gauged by someone who is a regular user, and it is a common occurrence during any viral trend on the platform.

The latest phrase that has taken the TikTok platform by storm is the “Dior Bags” phenomenon. The phrase was created by “The Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel.

What Does “Dior Bags” On TikTok Mean?

The phrase “Dior Bags” on TikTok is a camouflage for discussing drones without activating content moderation algorithms.

TikToker Bethenny Frankel began using the term to ensure uninterrupted conversation about the recent drone sightings in states including New Jersey.

The TikToker had earlier uploaded content related to the sighting of UFO-like drones over various locations throughout December 2024.

However, the content creator was surprised to find her content received far fewer views than expected. Bethenny stated in one such piece of content related to the drones that there were only 500 views.

Bethenny suspected that TikTok’s algorithms were driving down the visibility of content related to drones.

Bethenny devised an ingenious ploy to get around this problem, known as shadow banning.

She substituted the word ‘drones’ with ‘Dior Bags,’ and this ensured that the conversation she initiated about drones was not interrupted.

Controversial topic discussions continued without the risk of takedowns or account restrictions.

Bethenny also devised a whole code related to the topic of drones, much like a Morse code.

Therefore, visible drones that could be easily spotted or photographed were termed Worker Bees, while the advanced drones that looked shiny or different and were difficult to photograph were designated as Queen Bees.

Possibilities of extraterrestrial involvement or advanced technology were called Alien Bags.

Bethenny used this terminology cleverly, and a portion of her content, which reads as follows, explains it:

“There are the bags that have been released, but there are bags that are decades more advanced that we haven’t even seen.”

The Dior Bags trend quickly became popular on TikTok, and in a short interval of time, it managed to have over 19,000 videos uploaded using the hashtag #DiorBags.

The Bethenny episode and the use of code phrases to discuss controversial topics like the sighting of drones once again opened up discussions about potential censorship.

Bethenny also expressed her frustration about not being able to discuss the topic openly and being forced to go to such extremes. She stated:

“It’s become clear… people do not want me discussing the Dior bags.”

The trend has also ignited heated discussions about the nature of such drone sightings. Bethenny also stated that she had cross-checked information with experts who have worked in different organizations and people who are aware of undisclosed operations.

She concluded:

“There are many things going on at once, at the same time.”
