It’s November and the one thing that comes to our mind whenever we talk about this is No Nut November. Yes, “that time of the month” when men don’t pleasure themselves for a month. It all started back in 2011. It gained popularity through various platforms including Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter. However, since 2017, many people started to take the No Nut November challenge seriously and uploading their experiences on the web.

Let’s Get Into the Myth of Masturbation

No Nut November Masturbation Myths

Dr. Lawrence Rosewarne a professor at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne stated- “These are moral arguments and not medically proven ones.”

Listed below are a few myths –

  • Masturbation causes hair growth on the palm or in some cases the lines in your hand to disappear.
  • Excessive masturbation will cause acne and pimples on your face.
  • Your sex life will be affected by it as it causes erectile dysfunction.
  • It doesn’t have any long-term benefits for your health.
  • Only adults can do masturbation, children can’t masturbate.
  • Masturbation can increase or decrease the size of your penis.

Is No Nut November a good idea?

As per professional doctors, it’s not exactly a good idea to follow this trend. Not ejaculating for a long time can cause some health problems such as irritation or inflammation around your pelvic area, in some cases blue testicles along with emotional effects.

Masturbation helps you de-stress yourself, relaxes your mind, and calms your nerves. It also induces good sleep and decreases your heart rate.

If you have been following this trend then you are fixating on yourself causing more stress and disturbance in your mind. If you are in a relationship then it can cause friction in your sex life.
