Did Donald Trump Cheated Before Voting Concluded
Trump has reacted to these allegations with his own counter claim of “mass cheating” in Philadelphia.
On his social media platform Truth he wrote,
“There is a lot of talk about massive cheating. Law enforcement is coming!!”
Donald Trump had before the conclusion of the voting alleged that there has been massive cheating in the two swing states. Trump has consistently maintained that he had won the 2020 elections and had also stated how he will react if he lost the US Presidential elections.
Many experts had earlier stated that Trump may challenge the results if Kamala Harris had won in view of Trump’s statement in his election rallies. In September Trump had stated,
“If I lose — I’ll tell you what, it’s possible. Because they cheat. That’s the only way we’re gonna lose, because they cheat.”
However, Philadelphia election officials have negated these allegations and labeled it as misinformation.
District Attorney Larry Krasner stated,
“There is no factual basis whatsoever within law enforcement to support this wild allegation.”
City Commissioner Seth Bluestein, a Republican also stated,
“There is absolutely no truth to this allegation. Voting in Philadelphia has been safe and secure.”
The allegations have also been denied by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and noted that he had successfully defended 43 election-related challenges during Trump’s 2020 campaign.
Shapiro added,
“If I lose an election, if it’s a fair election, I would be the first one to acknowledge it. So far I think it’s been fair.”
