Royal Enfield, the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, is set to launch its latest offering, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, in India. This new modern classic roadster takes inspiration from the Sherpa 450 platform, which is also the base for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The official launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is scheduled for July 17th, 2024.
The Guerrilla 450 is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Himalayan 450 by streamlining features, using different cycle parts, and opting for road-biased tires. With an expected price tag of around ₹2.3 lakh, ex-showroom, the Guerrilla 450 will compete against models like the Honda CB300R, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, Bajaj Dominar, Pulsar NS400Z, KTM 390 Duke, and Triumph Speed 400.
The upcoming motorcycle is expected to showcase a modern classic design with a round LED headlight, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank, minimal bodywork, and a tall tail section. Leaked footage suggests there may be two variants of the Guerrilla 450, one with a bold red and gold color scheme and another with a simpler silver and blue scheme. The higher-end model may offer additional features like a round TFT instrument cluster, while the more affordable variant may include a semi-digital instrument cluster with a Tripper navigation module.
Equipped with a Sherpa 450 engine, the Guerrilla 450 features a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit with a displacement of 452cc and a 6-speed gearbox. Additional features include a slipper clutch and ride-by-wire throttle for smoother gear changes and throttle control. With telescopic front forks, 17-inch alloy wheels, road-biased tires, and a single-piece seat, the Guerrilla 450 promises a comfortable and responsive ride.
