Drake Seemingly Supports As Nicki Minaj Criticizes Jay-Z for Choosing Kendrick Lamar Over Lil Wayne for 2025 Super Bowl
Drake is showing his support for Nicki Minaj after she criticized Jay-Z for choosing Kendrick Lamar instead of Wayne to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show.
On September 9, Nicki posted a tweet on X where she was showing off her frustration and anger because of the selection.
Drake’s Support For Nicki Minaj
Nicki’s whole point of argument in this scenario was the fact that the event will be hosted in New Orleans, and because Lil Wayne is from New Orleans, he should be the one headlining the whole event instead of Kendrick Lamar.
Nicki also praised Wayne by stating that he helped her and Drake early when they were starting their careers and that they also made sure that he had a huge impact on the hip-hop culture in the rising stream.
Nicki tweeted,
“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. Shit sad. House N****R TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty ? Welp. then n****z will keep son’ing you!!!!!”
Nicki’s post was shared on Instagram by DJ Akademiks and Drake also liked the post.
Now, this caught attention, especially after the feud that happened earlier, having so many songs and back-and-forth team splits regarding what was going on.
Now that there’s a rivalry between Kendrick and Wayne, people are trying to figure out who Drake would support.
A user commented,
“That’s what support means to you people? He couldn’t say a single word? Post that on his own Insta? A like on a guy who always speaks ill of Nicki Minaj suddenly thats where he thrives?”
Drake’s like on the post spoke a lot of words, but people are still unsure whether Drake supports anyone in the battle for the limelight yet.
Some people are sure that Drake has selected his team, but some people are reminded that a single like on a post doesn’t truly mean a lot of things, so people should just step back for the time being.
However, nothing has been confirmed or denied for the time being yet.
