Watch Dubai’s Burj Khalifa Illuminates In Russian Flag After Moscow Terrorist Attack

Russia has witnessed the deadliest attack in its history in the last two decades. Over 115 lost their lives initially and more than 100 got critical injuries.

In the wake of this situation, the United Arab Emirates stood with Russia and extended its solidarity by lighting up the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world with the Russian Flag, reported Dubaieye.

Burj Khalifa Illumination 

On Sunday, March 24, the Burj Khalifa is currently illuminated with different colors of the Russian flag. According to Politico.eu, this happened a day after the ISIS attack on a concert hall near Moscow, killing more than 140 people. 

The inscription on the skyscraper reads, “The UAE stands in solidarity with Russia.”

Meanwhile, a statement was issued by Dubai’s Media Office which read, “Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lights up with the colors of the Russian flag in expression of the UAE’s solidarity with the friendly nation of Russia and its people against terrorism.”

Russia on Attack

This attack on Russia is considered the worst terrorist attack that took place on its soil, killing over 143 individuals and wounding over 100. 

As the United States embassy in Russia warned Russian citizens of a preemptive strike, the Russian Foreign Ministry has extended its question for information on the attacks from the US government.

The gunmen who hide their faces with masks, stormed Crocus City Hall carrying incendiary devices and guns with them. As per TimesNow reports, there were a total of five men. 

Russia’s Foreign Ministry called this attack a ‘bloody’ attack. Vladamir Putin, the president who has recently returned to office, has not made any official statement regarding the incident yet.

The Islamic State terror outfit, which was previously known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) took responsibility for the attack on the capital of Russia on Friday night on its Telegram Channel.
