E-cycles are set to roll out in Noida now

Noida latest updates

As per the officials, almost every docking station will have an electric supply. Additionally, the agency will also have mobile charging vans. The public only has to pay Rs 1 per kilometre whereas the base fare is Rs 15.  If the commuter needs to stop here and there then 50p will be charged per minute. This will help in keeping the e-cycles not occupied unnecessarily.

“We are ready on our part and just need the Noida Authority’s permission to dock e-cycles at the charging stations. We will start with 310 cycles from 31 centres in the first phase. Till now, we have got power supply for only 20 centres. We don’t want to wait any further for the electrification of the other stations. The mobile charging vans will go around and charge the bikes. They will also be used to bring the cycles back to the stations so that they can be used again,” stated by Anuraj Srivastava, the CEO of Turban Mobility, The agency behind the desired project.

So, the next step and foremost step- How can we use these bikes? Chandra Mohan Bali, a partner at the private firm, stated- “Commuters will need to download our mobile app and deposit Rs 299 as security money. Using the app, they will have to scan the QR code on the cycles. They will have to then press the ‘start ride’ button on the app. The base fare of Rs 15 is valid for 30 minutes. Subsequently, Re 1 will be deducted for every kilometre.”
