The internet is in a tizzy as it reacts to Elon Musk releasing a logo for the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. It is not to be confused with DOGECOIN, the cute cryptocurrency that had the support of the Tesla and SpaceX chief
Elon Musk took to his social media platform, X, to unveil the logo after the incumbent US President, Donald Trump, appointed him as the co-head of the department.

In a series of posts on X, the SpaceX CEO asked,
“So … what would you say you do here?”
He attached the post with a laughing emoji.
His post has garnered over 55.3 million views and several reactions.
He also shared a logo depicting a smiling Shiba Inu holding the US flag, drawing the attention of none other than Ramaswamy.
One user wrote,
“Omg, super cute!!”
Another user highlighted how Musk made government branding look appealing and said,
“I never considered wearing merchandise representing a government agency before, but…”
A third user stated,
“What a time to be alive!!”
There was no shortage of skeptics, and one user stated,
“Chaos ahead — expect more drama and division.”
Another remarked caustically,
“More of the same — nothing will really change.”
All about DOGE and Trump’s appointment
Trump created DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency, and entrusted the task of overseeing government efficiency to Musk and Ramaswamy, whom he hailed as Americans who will lead the Save America movement by reducing wasteful expenditure and dismantling government bureaucracy.

After the creation of the entity, Musk wrote on X,
“All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency.”
Ramaswamy expressed similar sentiments and stated that he is excited to head the department in a tweet tagging Musk, saying,
“We will not go gently.”
Users on social media, especially X, are requesting T-shirts and hoodies with the logo. Many also see the humor and have quipped about sporting merchandise for a federal department. The uncanny similarity to Shiba Inu is also giving the department a lighthearted image.
It is still unclear if DOGE will function as a formal government agency or if Musk and Ramaswamy will be in an advisory role, which aligns with Trump’s nontraditional approach to government restructuring. For DOGE to function as a government entity, Congressional approval would be required.
