Emmaculate Anyango, world’s second fastest 10K woman runner, set to participate in World 10K Bengaluru

Emmaculate Anyango Achol, the world’s second fastest 10K woman runner, is set to headline the 16th edition of World 10K Bengaluru on April 28. The event will feature top athletes competing for a total prize money of USD 210,000, making it a World Athletics Gold Label Road Race.

Anyango, who clocked 28:57 in Valencia, Spain, will be among the star attractions alongside her talented countrymates from Kenya. The women’s lineup includes runners with timings faster than the event course record, promising an exciting and competitive race for the title.

In the elite men’s category, top Kenyan runners like Peter Mwaniki Aila and Bravin Kipkogei Kiptoo will lead the pack with impressive timings. The lineup also features other Kenyan athletes and promising young runners from Tanzania and Ethiopia, all set to challenge the favorites for the win.

The World 10K Bengaluru will see a total prize pot of USD 210,000 up for grabs, with winners in the men’s and women’s categories set to receive USD 26,000 each. Additionally, a course record bonus of USD 8,000 adds to the excitement of the race, making it a highly anticipated event in the running calendar.
