Empowering Women Economically: TV Actors Geetanjali, Himani, and Vidisha Speak Out

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) As International Women’s Day approaches, female protagonists Geetanjali Mishra, Himani Shivpuri, and Vidisha Srivastava have expressed their thoughts on the importance of women’s well-being for a thriving economy and a sustainable planet.

Geetanjali, known for her role as Rajesh in ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’, emphasized the need for women to be given equal responsibilities and opportunities. She stated, “I firmly believe in creating a society where women are given equal responsibilities and opportunities as men. Society often perceives women as weak, but I assure you that they are among the most powerful creations of God.”

Vidisha, who plays Anita Bhabhi in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, highlighted the evolving roles of women in society. She said, “The world is undergoing a significant transformation in accepting women’s various roles. Women are now viewed as breadwinners, professionals, and independent thinkers, and have proven themselves as equals in every aspect.”

Senior actress Himani, portraying Katori Amma in ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’, acknowledged the progress made in women’s representation in politics, economic opportunities, and healthcare. She also emphasized the need to address the continued unfair treatment of women globally and the importance of investing in women’s advancement.
