Encounter in Pakistan’s K-P province results in the deaths of two soldiers and a terrorist

In an intelligence-based operation in Buner district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, two soldiers and a terrorist were killed, as reported by the military. The operation resulted in the death of a high-value terrorist ring leader and injuries to two other terrorists.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two soldiers identified as Lance Havildar Mudassar Mehmood and Lance Naik Haseeb Javed, were martyred during the intense fire exchange. The operation also led to the killing of Saleem Rabbani, a wanted terrorist with a reward of Rs 5 million, actively involved in various terrorist activities.

ISPR stated, “The terrorist was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as extortion and target killings of innocent civilians.” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operation and expressed his condolences for the martyred soldiers.

The operation marks a significant success in the fight against terrorism in the region.
