Enhanced Security Measures Implemented in Uttar Pradesh for Eid Celebrations Today

Elaborate security arrangements have been made across Uttar Pradesh for Eid ki namaz to be offered on Thursday. As many as 481 companies of PAC, CAPF, SSF, and SDRF have been deployed to maintain law and order during the festival. Drone cameras and CCTV will be installed at sensitive spots.

Uttar Pradesh Police’s Additional Director General (ADG) Amitabh Yash stated that 4,800 police vehicles are deployed for patrolling and 1,785 quick response teams with riot control equipment are at sensitive points. 2,912 hot spots have been identified and force deployment has been planned accordingly in different zones and sectors.

Imam of Eidgah, Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, has urged devotees to offer prayers within designated areas and mosques during Eid-ul-Fitr. He advised finding alternative mosques in case of overcrowding or utilizing mosque rooftops. Sunnah practices for Eid, including ritual bathing and clean attire, were encouraged.

Maulana Khalid Rashid also informed the community about the Sadqa-e-Fitr amount set at a minimum of Rs 65 per person for this year. The emphasis was placed on congregational prayers and following the recommended practices during the Eid celebrations in Uttar Pradesh.
