Evergreen High School Shooting Video Goes Viral: One Injured, Neighbour Says ‘Event Day Thing’

The Evergreen High School Shooting has caused netizens and the online community to share the videos of the incident on social media and express their views on the same.

The shooting occurred on Monday around 2:30 p.m. in Seattle near the Evergreen High School.

In the wake of this deadly incident, one person got certain life-threatening injuries.

As the shooting occurred, crews from King County Fire District No. 2 arrived at the scene. On SW 114th Street, they found one person with severe injuries. The person was transferred to a better space for treatment.

Notably, the shooter has not been identified yet.

One person shot near Evergreen High School

King5 reported that Maurice Nunez, a person who lives near the area where the shooting occurred, stated,

” It’s an everyday thing you hear.”

He added that the sound of gunshots is heard around the place majorly of the time. People living nearby searched for answers that the King County Sheriff’s Office was unable to reply.

Maurice Nunez added, “It’s concerning because you have kids walking around all the time. My girlfriend walks around all the time with the dogs. It’s concerning.”

Implications and Response from Evergreen High School

Highline School District informed that the shooting did not take place on school grounds. However, the Cascade Middle School and Evergreen High School were put under lockdown.

As a precautionary measure, Mount View Elementary was also under modified lockdown. Now, all lockdowns have been lifted, reported Times Now.

As the investigation was going on, Law enforcement officials blocked a wide area for hours.

Evergreen High School took to their website to post a message that read the following.

“We are aware of an incident that took place off campus near Evergreen High School, Cascade Middle School, and Mount View Elementary. Police are still investigating, and we will share more information when we have details confirmed. Evergreen and Cascade were on lockdown and Mount View was on modified lockdown as a precaution. All lockdowns have been lifted. The safety of our students is our number one priority. We are working with law enforcement to ensure the students are safely dismissed.”

Evergreen High School also added that due to delays in dismissals, the busses were running late.
