Father of Budaun victims attempts self-immolation over ‘Why my kids were killed’

In Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Kumar, father of the children killed by barber Sajid, attempted self-immolation on Sunday. He expressed frustration over police not finding motive behind the murder. Police intervened in time to save him and are trying to console him.

After the tragic incident on March 19, Vinod Kumar’s anger escalated as he demanded answers regarding his sons’ murder. Despite the encounter of the main accused Sajid and the arrest of his brother Javed, Vinod seeks clarity on the motive behind the heinous crime. “All I want to know why my children were killed,” he said.

The brutality of the incident shook the entire community as the innocent brothers, Ayush and Honey, lost their lives to Sajid’s vicious attack. Piyush, the surviving brother, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The swift actions taken by the police resulted in the encounter of Sajid and the subsequent arrest of Javed in Bareilly.
