He is in the eye of a storm after actor Sai Dharam Tej’s alert to Telangana CM which led to the Telangana Police filing a FIR against Praneeth Hanumanthu.
YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu had made some very distasteful remarks in a video. The video exposes a group of men giving a sexual color to a father-daughter bond, leading to significant online backlash.
The Telangana Cyber Bureau has filed an FIR against YouTuber for making such inappropriate comments in a video following online backlash.
The matter became serious when Sai Dharam Tej flagged the video and tagged the Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy and appealed to him to take action and negate such horrific acts like this in the future.
The actor called the actions gruesome, disgusting and scary.
Sai in a statement said,
“Monsters like these go unnoticed on the very much utilised social platform doing child abuse in the disguise of so-called Fun & Dank. Child Safety is the need of the hour,”
Telangana CM thanked actor for flagging the video and said,
“Thank you for bringing to our notice this issue @IamSaiDharamTej garu. Child safety is utmost priority for our Govt. Will look into this incident and take appropriate action,” he said.
The YouTuber apologized after he was called out on social media and in a post on X said,
“Edited out the problematic part from the video. Unconditionally and unambiguously apologetic about the lapse in judgment. As a creator, my attempt is always to put a smile on my face. Unfortunately this time I have crossed the line between what is dark and what is distasteful”
