First G20 tech fest begins at GBU in Noida

Greater Noida will witness around 1,400 participants from many academic institutions taking part in the first G20 Sahastam Tech Fest. It has been organised at Gautam Buddha University. This will be a 4-day event and is the first-ever tech fest that has been conducted in Noida. The fest will be organised under the G20 University Connect programme of the Union ministry of external affairs.

The tech includes different types of competitions, events, debates, hackathons as well as tech sessions. “With a vision of ‘one earth, one family, one future’, Gautam Buddha University will be holding the G20 Sahastam from February 16th to 19th. Students from various schools, as well as institutions of Greater Noida, will focus to highlight India’s technology manufacturing culture stated by Professor RK Sinha, the university’s vice-chancellor.

“The tech fest is being held to propagate the ethos of ‘jan bhagidari’ and ‘vasudhaiva kutumbakam’ and is a one-of-a-kind event that provides the youth with a platform to showcase their ideas and build solutions. It aims to promote ideas on sustainable development, pro-planet practices and revolution in the agricultural sector,” he further added. 

The fest also aims to support India’s booming technology sector and present it as the leading manufacturer of technology in the world. “Many industry experts will be conducting sessions for the participants at the fest,” said Rakesh Kumar Srivastava, the nodal officer for G20 University 

Talking about the GBU, some of the events will include a 48-hour tech challenge hackathon, tech congress, exhibitions and start-up challenges as well as boot camp and coding. 

This fest will help the students to explore various fields of technology that will help in boosting their careers. Here they can learn more about the upcoming technology and find out about the career options.
