First look: Okaya EV’s Ferrato electric motorcycle teaser

Okaya EV has revealed its new premium brand, Ferrato, which will launch two electric motorcycles and one scooter in India during the fiscal year 2024-25. The first electric motorcycle from Ferrato, known as the ‘Disruptor’, comes with a 6.4 kW PMSM motor producing 228 Nm of torque and a top speed of 95 kmph.

Ferrato will have its own dedicated dealership network, separate from Okaya EV, with plans to establish more than 100 dealerships to enhance service quality. The aim is to provide a premium experience to consumers, according to Dr. Anshul Gupta, Managing Director of Okaya Electric Vehicles.

Gupta stated, “Ferrato’s establishment aims to provide a premium experience to consumers and marks a significant milestone for Okaya EV as we continue to expand our footprint in the sustainable mobility landscape. With a dedicated team overseeing sales, customer operations and service centers, we plan to establish over 100+ partners for Ferrato, focusing on positioning it as a premier choice for discerning riders seeking the perfect fusion of passion and performance.”

The latest addition to Ferrato’s lineup is the Motofaast scooter, priced at ₹1,36,999 ex-showroom. It features a 2300 W electric motor, three riding modes – Eco, City, and Sports, and a dual battery system with a total capacity of 3.53 kWh using LFP technology. The scooter offers a riding range between 110 km and 130 km and takes 4-5 hours to fully charge.
