Folk singer discovered deceased under mysterious circumstances in Varanasi

Popular Birha singer Aanchal Patel, known as Anchal Raghwani, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a flat in Varanasi. Her brother accused her husband and another woman of murder. Police have detained the husband and woman for interrogation, awaiting post-mortem results before further action can be taken.

Aanchal, originally from Varanasi, had been living with her husband and others in a flat in Tarna for two months. Family members received a call on Tuesday informing them of her death. She had been married for three years and reportedly suffered mental distress due to torture from her husband.

Anchal had established herself as a prominent Birha singer in the Purvanchal region at a young age. The investigation is ongoing, with more details yet to be revealed.
