Formula 1 boss and FIA president to discuss allegations against Christian Horner

Bahrain, March 1 (IANS) – Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali and FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem are set to meet to discuss allegations of inappropriate behavior against Red Bull team principal Christian Horner by a female colleague. Horner was recently cleared of the accusations following an internal investigation, but new leaked WhatsApp texts and images have surfaced, leading to further scrutiny.

The investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior by Horner was prompted by a female colleague, which he denied. Despite being cleared, new leaked texts and images have raised concerns and prompted a meeting between top officials to address the issue. Christian Horner has returned to the F1 for the second practice round in Bahrain amid the controversy.

In a statement to Sky Sports, Horner expressed his focus on the Grand Prix and the upcoming season. He said, “I am pleased that the process is over, and I cannot comment about it. I am here to focus on the Grand Prix and the season ahead and trying to defend both of our titles. I can’t give you any further comment, but the process has been conducted and concluded. I am pleased to be here in Bahrain, and with the team, focused on the season ahead. Within the team, it (the unity) has never been stronger.” The meeting between top officials is expected to shed more light on the situation.
