Fresh COVID-19 Cases Recorded, Highest in 225 Days at 797, Total Active Cases Reported at 4091

The biggest nightmare and shock of the urban era is back! New cases of COVID-19 are witnessed throughout the country starting from Kerala. On Friday a statement was received from the health ministry which stated the exact statistics of the active cases, and cases recorded in a day.
Fresh cases of a total of 797 new cases have been recorded of COVID. The number recorded is the highest in the last 225 days. Moreover, the total number of active cases of COVID has been recorded at 4091.

A total of five new fatalities have also been recorded due to COVID. One case each has been recorded from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Maharashtra. Moreover, two cases have been recorded from Kerala. According to the data updated by the Health Ministry at 8 am, the total number of fatalities reported is during the duration of last 24 hours. On May 19, a total of 865 new and fresh cases were recorded in the country.
Till December 5, 2023, the total statistics of the daily cases dropped to double digits in the country. However, the number of cases has again increased since the invasion of a new variant of the COVID-19 virus in cold weather conditions.
During the pandemic, the cases reported were in lakhs. The onset of COVID-19 was witnessed in early 2020. It is regarded as a pandemic as it killed people in millions from all countries. Around 45 million or 4.5 crore got infected with various variants of COVID-19. Moreover, a total of 5.3 lakh people lost their lives during 2020-23 getting infected with various variants of COVID-19 across various states in India.
As per the data available on the ministry’s website, India has witnessed a “national recovery rate of 98.81 percent” and the statistics of the recuperation stand at approximately around 4.4 crore. Moreover, the website also added that a total of 2206.7 Million COVID-19 doses have been given to people across the country.
