Frogan Twitch Ban After Her Controversial Comments About The U.S. Military Sparking Widespread Outrage
Famous Twitch streamer Frogan, a.k.a. Morgan, faces a 30-day ban from the streaming platform after making objectionable comments in her live stream. In the live stream, Morgan can be heard saying that she hoped US soldiers would get PTSD. The news was first reported by Streamerans bot on X and drew a furious backlash from netizens. Many have welcomed the ban by the streaming platform, though Frogan has not revealed the reasons for it.
Frogan Twitch Ban After Toxic Comments On US Military
PTSD is an acronym for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Twitch streamer Frogan, in her livestream, stated that she hoped US soldiers would be afflicted with the disease. A video from her stream has gone viral in which she said,
“I will never have any f—–g pity for any f—–g soldiers. US military? Boo f—–g who. I hope you get PTSD.”
The Twitch streamer also stated that she hoped the soldiers would not receive any health insurance when they returned to America because some fans were sending her money.
Netizens were quick to deride Frogan on social media platforms like X.
One user commented on X,
“I mean she deserves this ban for 30 days because she’s an evil person to American soldiers who deserve to have PTSD.”
A second user said,
“Finally LOL, well it’s deserved. You cannot disrespect the armed forces; they put their lives on the line for everyone.”
StreamerBans, which broke the news first, stated that this is the first time the streamer has been banned from the platform. According to StreamerBans, minutes after the Twitch ban, the streamer stated that the reason for the suspension was targeted hateful conduct and causing controversy. The content had a tier titled “LOVES SABRA,” which is a brand of hummus but is also a term used to describe a native-born Israeli.
Frogan Issues an Apology After Twitch Ban
After the controversy blew over, Frogan issued an apology on X and accepted that the comments she made in her livestream were poorly phrased.
In her post on X, she stated,
“I go on to clarify in the clip that I do not mean ‘all’ military, but specifically those with no remorse. What I said was out of frustration, as they are currently bombing my family in the name of ‘liberation.’ I realize that wishing people harm isn’t the best way to talk about these issues and that I could have addressed these topics in a more sensitive way.”
Frogan is a resident of Dearborn, Mich., a city known for having the highest Middle Eastern population. She was born to a white mother and a Lebanese father and identifies herself as a Muslim.
However, Frogan’s half-hearted apology was followed by more US military bashing, as she accused them of horrific crimes against humanity in the modern era in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine.
