Gadkari approves Rs 494 crore funding for 4-laning highway leading to Jim Corbett Park

New Delhi, March 12 (IANS) Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari has approved an allocation of Rs 494.45 crore for the 4-laning and upgradation of the Kashipur to Ramnagar section of National Highway 121 in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts. The project aims to improve connectivity to Jim Corbett National Park, a popular tourist destination in the state.

The Kashipur-Ramnagar section is a vital tourist route in Uttarakhand, and the new project is expected to reduce travel time and enhance safety for road users. Additionally, the economic activity in the project impact area is likely to gain momentum due to this development, stated the minister.
