German World Cup-winning defender Andreas Brehme dies aged 63
Andreas Brehme, the legendary German footballer who scored the winner in the final of the 1990 World Cup against Argentina, has passed away at the age of 63. He died suddenly from cardiac arrest on Monday night, as confirmed by his partner Susanne Schaefer. Brehme was a versatile left-back who earned 86 caps for Germany, scoring eight goals.
