Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 Makes Global Debut
Husqvarna has finally unveiled its most powerful motorcycle in the global market, the Svartpilen 801. Priced at USD 10,899 (approximately ₹9 lakh), the Svartpilen 801 is the flagship motorcycle for the brand. However, its entry into the Indian market seems unlikely.
The design of the Svartpilen 801 combines elements of a scrambler and a streetfighter, featuring a circular LED headlamp with a Daytime Running Lamp, a small fly screen above the headlamp, and bar-end mirrors. The slim bodywork includes a split seat setup for rider and pillion comfort.
Built on a chromium-molybdenum steel frame with the engine as a stressed member, the Svartpilen 801 is equipped with adjustable WP APEX suspension in the front and rear. Powering the motorcycle is a 799 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine delivering 103 bhp of power and 87 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an up and down quickshifter.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 shares its engine with the KTM 790 Duke, making it a high-performance offering in the premium motorcycle segment. With its unique design and powerful performance, the Svartpilen 801 is set to turn heads on a global scale.
