GMDA approves five key projects worth Rs 194.18 crore
In a recent committee meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) approved five key projects worth Rs 194.18 crore. These projects focus on the development of roads, drainage, water supply, and sewage treatment in Gurugram.
The projects include the construction of 7.5-meter service roads along the Dwarka Expressway on both sides for Rs 99.50 crore. This initiative aims to ease traffic movement and provide access to the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) for the numerous townships under development on the periphery of the Dwarka Expressway.
Another important project approved is the outfall of stormwater drainage in Leg -II (Phase-I) for Gurugram at Rs 19.80 crore. This project will prevent flooding and submergence of agricultural land along the Najafgarh drain by completing the balance portion of Leg II master drain.
Additionally, the committee sanctioned funds for the Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of Water Treatment Plant Basai and Chandu Budhera at Rs 21.95 crore and Rs 21.30 crore respectively. These projects will include all mechanical, electrical work, and maintenance of water treatment plants for 3 years.
Lastly, the construction of the 33/11 KV outdoor substation of Dhanwapur STP, Gurugram was approved for Rs 31.63 crore. With the future increase in sewage capacity by 200 MLD, the current capacity of STP Dhanwapur at 218 MLD will be upgraded.
These projects are crucial for the overall development and infrastructure enhancement of Gurugram and will greatly benefit the residents in terms of improved road connectivity, drainage systems, and water supply.
